Lab 1 (In book: Zylabs)

Basic Python programming.

Will be released Wednesday, August 28

This lab, and most labs, will be made available Wednesday morning inside of Zybooks, and will be due Thursday night by 11:30 p.m.

This lab only will consist of some short exercises that you do 100% inside Zybooks. Later labs will be completed in Spyder. The next few will be submitted in Zybooks.

Some later labs will not be in Zybooks, because the things your produce (e.g., plots of how crime rates have varied) will not be things that the Zybooks' auto-grader can cope with.

Optional to-do before lab: If you have the chance, and if you have your own computer, follow the directions for installing Spyder/Anaconda distribution of Python on the Resources tab of the class web page. This way, if you have difficulties, the TA's may be able to help you do the install in class.
